i know a lot of ai websites do have settings where you can limit the amount of tokens the bot spits out; and if that doesn't work you can try telling it ooc or in custom prompts to knock it off and only write short messages; as for memory issues you could, once again, try putting in a custom prompt or something that summarizes important details of what's happened so far
