that could be because they are extremely introverted, agoraphobic, neurodivergent (extreme anxiety with people or even autism and possibly a past experience where they were ridiculed for not understanding a social cue) the could also be extremely depressed and find that a computer is easier for them to access and have someone to talk to and love, they may also not have anyone in their life that loves THEM, another factor could definitely be trauma which really includes everything i already said but also growing up with a warped sense of right and wrong really ANYTHING.
