The platform is bigger than it used to be, and there was also a massive influx of CAI users coming to the platform after CAI's last change, those users started porting all the low quality stuff over (and the vast majority of them are also kids.) The thing about bots being public by default was the original way, then they updated to make them private by default a few months before the shutdown.
