This almost feels like:How to make AI better:- Give them consciousness and ability to feel emotions But all jokes aside, the more you mess with AI models of any kind the more the "magic" fades as you realize their very real limitations, that usually comes when you troubleshoot them, to go beyond that limit there needs to be a revolutionary innovation where the concept of training a model becomes obsolete or maybe the whole concept of models aswell , because the idea with AGI is that you make an AI that can learn on the spot instead of having to be trained before hand for it to actually learn something rather than parroting it, so far the advances in AI are pretty much the same thing as always but with new clever tricks and optmizations on top of it to milk what current AI can do and reduce costs, and there's clearly a lot left to milk from and even then i doubt its going to be enough, the race for AGI is pretty much finding how to break that barrier while we optimize what we have.So for whats possible with the current technology is to make an AI companion that is convincing enough to make you fall into the illusion that it is thinking but the more you mess with it you will realize it's not really thinking or feeling anything so we need something else.
