Stuff that helps me: Short but very clear core traits and red lines in the system prompt, not a wall of lore A “reminder” message every so often like “remember, you’re X who does Y and never Z” Correcting drift in character instead of rewriting the whole setup The more you overcook the setup, the more the model treats half of it like decorative flavor text and just ignores it later 😂
